Angeila Louise Mahan Owens

Angeila Louise Mahan Owens, age 75, of London, KY, passed away at her home on Friday, May 3, 2024.

She was born in Toledo, OH, to the late George W. Mahan and Mildred Cook Mahan.

Angeila had an unparalleled love for nature, especially when it came to nurturing her garden. Her green thumb was evident in the vibrant blooms that adorned her residence, a testament to her care and devotion. Her passion for gardening was not merely a hobby, but an extension of her loving and creative spirit. Most importantly, Angeila loved spending time with her family and adored her dogs, Prissy, Boss Hog, and Buddy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Darrell Wayne Owens, and great-grandsons, Coston Dewayne Honeycutt and Landon Westerfield.

She is survived by her children, Johnny Westerfield, Karen Owens, and Tamatha Monhollen; grandchildren, Johnathan Westerfield, Amanda Westerfield, Zachary Westerfield, Sabrina Westerfield, Josh Lowe, Tamanda Hensley, Raymond William Owens, Kayla Sue Owens, Kristin Marie Monhollen, Steven Lynn Monhollen, Anthony Scott Monhollen, Tiffany Anne Monhollen, Terry Monhollen, Christopher Bagwell, and Josh Mills; numerous great-grandchildren; a brother, Dennis Mahan Harris; and sister, Della Elliott.

Visitation will be held from 12-2 pm on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will follow at 2 pm.

Burial will follow at Hart Cemetery on Moore Hill. Serving as pallbearers: Anthony Monhollen, Steven Monhollen, William Owens, Robbie Mills, Josh Mills, and Johnathan Westerfield.
