Harold Ray "Rawhyde" Adams, 72, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at his home in Corbin.
Born in Clinton, Tennessee, Harold had been an engineer for L&N/CSX Railroad for 30 years, was a U.S. Army veteran, and he attended New Zion Ministries.
Harold was a member of the Cumberland Valley Cruise-In and enjoyed rebuilding antique cars. After his career with the railroad, he had been self-employed as a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents Marcus Adams and Minnie Rapier Adams; and by his brothers Jack and Jerry Adams.
He is survived by his companion June Carpenter; his "adopted son" Mark Perkins; children Ray, Beth, and Julie; sisters Margie, Jill, Beverly, and Ruth Ann; and by a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial will be in Stansbury Cemetery with military honors.
Friends will be received from 6:00-9:00 PM on Thursday, November 16, at the funeral home.
