James Marvin Williams, age 78, of Gray, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2011, at Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Born in Barbourville, he was the son of the late Charlie and Pearl Deaton Williams. He was Pentecostal by faith and had been a truck driver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Debra Jean; and by his sister, Cora Belle Williams Robinson.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Williams; daughter, Kathleen Johnson; step-daughter, Valerie Groulx of Timmons, Ontario, Canada; grandchildren, Blake Williams, Hayden Venable, Tristan Venable, Emily Groulx, and Jessie Groulx; sisters, Opal Wyatt, Jessie Binns and husband Eddie of Ohio, and Caroline Williams of Barbourville; brother, Charles Williams and wife Brenda of Indiana; and numerous family members and friends to celebrate his life.
Visitation will be from 6pm Monday, Nov. 14, until the funeral at 8pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Claude Medlin and Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating.
