Phyllis Campbell, 92, of Corbin, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Saint Joseph Hospital in London, KY. Born in Harlan County, Kentucky, Phyllis was the daughter of the late William and Eva Engle Foley. She was also preceded in death by her husband Bennie Campbell; daughter Diana Shell; and grandson Kevin Shell. She had worked as a seamstress and was a member of Paint Hill Baptist Church. Phyllis is survived by her daughters Carolyn Roark (Woody) and Sharon Root (Steve); son Benny Campbell (Dena); 11 grandchildren: Jim Roark (Joann), Tim Roark (Leigh), Denise Miller (Denny Ray), Ragena Mills (Larry), Angela Minor (George), Kristi Burnett (Randy), Rachel Campbell (Daniel), Keith Lamkin (Audrey), Kayla Dixon (Cody), Jason Root (Holly), and Derek Swords (Amanda); 18 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; brothers Oral Dean Foley and Billy Foley (Susan); and sister Cheryl Yaden (Don), all to mourn her passing. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, January 8, 2021, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Indian Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00am Friday until the time of the funeral at 1:00pm.
