Ressie Smith age 81, of Gray, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2006 at the UT Medical Center in Knoxville.
She was born on May 16, 1924 in Girdler, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Henry Hibbard and Pearlie Mills Hibbard.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodson Smith in 1979; One Son, Harold William Smith; and two Daughters, Berry Sue Smith and Callie Jean Smith; Three Brothers, Ernest Eugene Helton, Glenn Ray Helton, and Walter Hibbard; one Sister, Nollie Payne.
She is survivied by 11 Children; Bobby Ray Smith and wife Nadine, Mary Etta Smith and husband Robert, Ada Ann Troutman and husband Troy, Robert "Bill" Smith Jr. and wife Marie, Lonnie Wayne Smith and wife Tammy, Joe Neil Smith and wife Martha Lou, Judy Gail Smith and husband David, Linda Carol Middleton and husband Jerry, James Earl Smith and wife Peggy, Randy Lee Smith and wife Brenda, and Bonnie Jean Dozier and husband Richard; 37 Grandchildren, 42 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great-Grandchildren; One Brother Jess Helton; and Two Sisters, Nora Phipps and Henrietta Kohl.
Funeral service will be on Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at 2pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Johnson and Rev. Robert King, Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in the Farris Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Sunday and Monday from 6-9pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
