T.S. Reid Elliott

T.S. Reid Elliott, age 87, longtime resident of Corbin, passed away on Saturday August 7, 2021 at Corbin Health and Rehabilitation. He was a retired mechanic and US Army veteran having served in Korea. Reid was a longtime member of Paint Hill Baptist Church where he served as a former Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene J. Elliott who he married on June 28, 1954; son Richard Elliott; sisters, Ruth Elliott and Opal Bishop; and by his brothers, Charlie, Archie, Odell, and Ray Elliott. Reid is survived by his granddaughter, Kellie Elliott; great grandson, Jax Elliott; two nephews, five nieces, and several grand nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 1-2pm on Tuesday August 10, 2021 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where his funeral service will begin at 2pm with Rev. Homer Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Terrell Cemetery in Wilton with military honors. In Lieu of Flowers, the family has requested donations to Paint Hill Baptist Church, P.O. Box 48, Gray, KY 40734.
