Virginia Lee Johnson

Virginia Lee Johnson, age 86, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at her home in Corbin.

She was a member of Dorthae Pentecostal Church in Corbin. Virginia was a woman of faith and a true prayer warrior, and she was active with Martha's Circle Prayer Group. Virginia was a homemaker who loved caring for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland "Curly" Terrell Johnson, parents, Lee Reed and Mable Issac Reed, sister, Geneva Dugger, and by a great grandson, Ryker Kaiden Johnson.

Virginia is survived by her children, Sherry Mills and husband Jerry, Eyvonne Bennett and husband Gary, Steve Johnson and wife Valerie, Kenny Johnson and wife Rhonda, Teresa Humfleet and husband Charlie, Tammy Sanders and husband Curt, and Michael Johnson and wife Lisa, grandchildren, Brandy Cathers and husband Greg, Bill Helton, Jennifer Walker and husband Bryan, Jon Mills, Jill Mills and husband Eric, Katie Baker and husband Eric, Derrick Bennett and wife Kelly, Brooke Farmer and husband Daron, Amanda Ford and husband Jason, Cara Smith and husband J.D., Nicholas Johnson and wife Sarai, Kendra Johnson, James Humfleet and wife MeLeea, Jonathan Humfleet and wife Whitney, Blake Sanders and wife Kacie, Chase Sanders, Zach Johnson and wife Hannah, and Andrew Johnson and wife Kylie, 35 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson, brother, Robert Reed, Sister in law, Nettie Storms, and by many other family and friends, including special caregivers, Jelma Croley and Irene McCuen.

Visitation will be on Monday May 8, 2023, from 6-8pm at Dorthae Pentecostal Church in Corbin. Her funeral service will be held at Dorthae Pentecostal Church at 2pm on Tuesday May, 9th, with Rev. Billy Evans and Rev. Charlie Humfleet officiating.

Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
