Agnes Banta, 88, of Dalton, Georgia, formerly of Corbin, passed away Saturday, August 16, at the Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton.
She was born on September 16, 1914 in Corbin, the daughter of the late Henry Clarence and Ruby Gatliff Bunch.
She was retired from the former American Greetings Plant, and she was a member of the Southside Baptist Church, Sixteenth Street, Corbin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Clayton Banta, Gerald Banta and Clarence Reynold; 2 sisters and 1 brother.
She is survived by two Sons, Clinton and Thomas Banta; two Daughters, Rosalind Robbins and Jean Watson; one Brother, Charles Bunch; two Sisters, Eva Mae Cobb and Doris Pravelski; 17 Grandchildren; 27 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2003, at 2pm, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, with the Rev. Carl Reeves and Rev. Jack Bunch officiating. Interment will follow in the Corinth Cemetery, Corbin.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2003 from 11am until the service at 2pm.
