Alan Glenn Tye

On Thursday, January 24, 2019, Alan Glenn Tye, father, grandfather, son and brother, passed away at the age of 55.  Alan was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, a long-time employee of Bell South, AT&T, and most recently Paradise Landscaping. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and loved riding his motorcycle.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his uncle Thomas Fleek, his sister Katherine Bryant, and his niece Krystal Bryant.
He is survived by three daughters: Sheila Tye Sanders (Frederick) and her children Kristopher Tye and Frederick Sanders, Jr. of Louisville, KY, Allison Tye of Whitley City, KY, and Jaclyn Tye of Richmond, KY; his parents Ed and Sheila "Sam" Tye of Corbin; his brother Arthur Stiles (Julie) and niece Samantha Stiles and nephew Chandler Stiles of Jacksonville, FL; his nephew Aron Bryant of Corbin; a great niece Julia Bryant Jones of Connersville, IN; his aunt Diana Fleek of Commerce, TX;  his uncle Kenneth Fleek of Choctaw, OK; and his cousin Jessica O'Neal (Sean) of Las Vegas, NV;  and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Corbin Presbyterian Church on Thursday, January 31, at 4:00 pm with Rev. Lisa Eye officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 2:00 until 4:00 pm.  Military honors are by American Legion Post 88.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
