Allen Keith Johnson, 48, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015 at UK Medical Center in Lexington.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Elliott.
He is survived by his son, Madison Allen Johnson and daughter, Lindsey Leann Johnson; his parents, Ronald Keith and Janet "JJ" Elliott Johnson; his brothers, Mickey Ronald Johnson and Larry Robbins; fiancée, Tammy Maggard; maternal grandmother, Sylvia Elliott; paternal grandparents, Keith and Goldie Johnson, all of Corbin.
He is also survived by aunts Genevieve (Garry) Fox, Linda (Gary) Jackson, Joan Gabbard, Donna (Bruce) Andrews, Gayle Cobb, Kathy (Leland) Carnes and his uncle Earl (Nancy) Johnson; special cousins Michelle (Ray) Osborne, Kristi (Wes) Carlisle, Shanna (Jody) Jaggers, Erika (Chris) McHargue, Brittney Givens, Scot Johnson, Earl Johnson and Amy Johnson.
Allen was a talented basketball player in high school and coached several winning AA and middle school teams. He also enjoyed golfing and fishing. Allen was warm hearted and generous to all who knew and loved him. He always had a teasing smile on his face, and had a special bond with his "Granny" Elliott.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Corbin and was owner of Southeastern Kentucky Motor Sales dealership.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master Street, Corbin with Bro. Jim Elliott and Bro. Jim Murray officiating.
Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scot and Earl Johnson, Roger Hicks, Mike Bargo, Joe Michael Kidwell, and John Dewayne Vinson.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
