Alta Kathleen Jaynes Elliott

Alta Kathleen Jaynes Elliott, age 64, of Corbin passed away on Friday, October 16, 2009 at her home.
She was born in Whitley County to the late William F. and Juanita Paul Jaynes. She was a retired teacher from the Knox County School System having taught at Girdler and West Knox Schools. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
In addition to her Parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Charles Elliott in May of 2006.
She is survived by her Three Sisters, Billie Dianna Reeder and husband Robert of Corbin, Wilma Partin and husband Ricky of Rockholds, Velma Barton and husband Jeff of Corbin;Two Brothers, Bruce Jaynes and wife Felicia and Curtis Jaynes all of Corbin. She is also survived by many Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, Great Nephews, Aunts, and Uncles.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 18, 2009 from 12noon until the time of her service at 2pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery in Whitley County where her Nephews will serve as pall bearers.
