Alvin M Sears

Alvin Murphy Sears, age 80, passed away Saturday July 29, 2023, at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington KY.

He was born in Corbin Kentucky on August 30, 1942, to the late Millard and Odessa McGahan Sears.

Alvin was preceded in death by parents, his wife Patricia Sears, a daughter Jodi Voss, brothers Wallace Sears, Joseph Russell Sears, Harold Sears, and by a sister Delores Rose.

Alvin Is survived by his daughter Kim (Christopher) Hanft, Dale (Liberty) Martin, Brothers Herbert Sears, Rondal (Denise) Sears, Ernie (Linda) Sears, one sister Ruth (Johnny) Walters, by nine grandchildren and by nine great grandchildren, and by a host of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends and family.

Visitation for Alvin will be held at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home on Friday August 4, 2023, from 2-4 p.m.

Memorial service to follow at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. John Minton officiating.

In Lieu of Flowers, memorials contributions can be made to, Tunnels to Towers, Wounded Warrior project, and to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
