Anna Maria Weindl Guinn, 82, of Corbin, formerly of Gray, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 5, 2007 at her residence.
Born in Bavaria, Germany, she was the daughter of the late George and Maria Meier Weindl and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Guinn; grandsons, Paul Smith and Douglas Guinn; sons-in-law, Wiley Jordan and Leo Moses; brother, George L. Weindl; brothers-in-law, Travis Carter and Willie Carter; sisters-in-law, Ida Garland, Marie Kelly and Emma Kelly.
She is survived by 12 children: Philomena Dix and husband Doug of Fleming, Colorado; Teresa Barnett and husband Walt of Gray; Judy Jordan of Corbin; Helen Crocker and husband Jerry of Corbin; Elizabeth Guinn of Gray; Carolyn Lloyd and husband Donnie of Corbin; Florence Craig and husband Larry of Gray; Shirley Smith and husband Thom of Corbin; Mary Ann Whicker and husband Jerry of Richmond; Thomas Guinn and wife Elaine of Gray; George Guinn and wife Carol of Gray; and Joseph Guinn and wife Ethel of Corbin; 30 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; brother, Rupert Weindl and wife Marilyn; sister-in-law, Florence Weindl; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends; Tip and Fannie Powell; special caregivers, Donna Ridner, all the Professional Home Health employees, including nurse Debra Mills.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday, Nov. 9, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Thom Smith and Larry Craig officiating. Burial will be in the Brafford Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Thursday with Rosary Devotion at 8:30 pm at the funeral home.
