Annie M. Brewer

Annie Marie Young Brewer, 95, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 29, 2004 at The Heritage in Corbin.
Born May 28, 190, in Gibson Station, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Steve and Victoria Dooley Young. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John A. Brewer, her infant daughter Patricia Evelyn Brewer, two brothers John and Marion Young, and three sisters Tilda Britton, Myrtle Johnson and Mabel McCreary.
She is survived by her daughter, Mavis Vickie Buchanan and her husband Thomas of Corbin; grandchildren, Douglas Smith of Rose Hill, Virginia and Marquette Renda and husband Stephen of Flagler Beach, Florida; great-grandchildren, Zane Lamb, Stephen Lamb and Tristen Renda; sisters Martha Seale of Baltimore, Maryland, Ella Loop of Monroe, Michigan, and Fannie Jones of Gibson Station, Virginia; and a great-great-grandchild Madelyn Lamb.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, August 31 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Robert D. King officiating. Burial will be in the Jones Cemetery in Ewing, Virginia at 1:00 pm Thursday, September 2. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm Tuesday until the funeral hour at 7:00 pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
