Arlis R. Monhollen

Arlis R. Monhollen, 63, of Barbourville, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007 at the Barbourville Nursing Home.
Born February 9, 1943 in Whitley County, he was the son of the late Lake Monhollen and Eva Nantz Lawless. He was Baptist by faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Billie McBrayer, and by his step-fathers, Opal Sears and Hubert Lawless.
He is survived by two brothers, Allen Monhollen and wife Goldie of Fairland, Indiana, and Homer Monhollen and wife Janie of Corbin; two sisters, Wanda Rose and husband Howard, and Janice King and husband Sonny, all of Corbin; as well as many special nieces, nephews and other family members who mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Jackson and Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Monhollen Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Friday at the funeral home.
