Artie Boggs Roark, age 78, of Rosetown Church Road, Corbin, passed away Monday, December 22, 2003 at the Corbin Nursing Home.
She was born on July 12, 1925 in Harlan County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Arthur Ely and Stacy Ellen Turner Boggs. She was a homemaker and a member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Williamsburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Calvin C. Roark; A Son, Daniel Boone Roark; Three Grandchildren, Melynda Wallace, Calvin Wallace and Leah Roark; And her Brothers and Sisters.
She is survived by Eleven Children: Jerry Roark and his wife Jan, Mary Edwards and her husband Ron, James Roark and his wife Marilyn, Russell Roark and his wife Lily, Pamela Glisson and her husband Jon, Neal Roark and his wife Sandy, Garrett Roark and his wife Janeen, Martha Irene Roark, Mike Roark and his wife Robin, Pat Turner and her husband Mark, and Dee Roark; 29 Grandchildren; and 24 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be on Saturday, December 27th, at 2:00pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Roark Cemetery in Keavy.
Visitation will be from 6-9pm on Friday and from 12-2pm on Saturday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home in Corbin.
