Arvin J. Peace

Arvin J. Peace, age 97, passed from this life on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, 2024, in Corbin, Kentucky.

A Corbin native, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lela Peace; parents, Elbert LeRoy Peace and Arkie Mayne Peace; two brothers, Don and Arnold Peace and sister, Clara Mae Peace Robbins.

Arvin was a veteran of the Army Quartermaster in World War II in occupied Japan and the Army Paratroopers in the Korean War.

He was a member of the Steele’s Chapel Christian Church.

Burial and graveside service will be in the Worley Cemetery on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. with Andrew Darden officiating. Pall bearers will be Todd and Will Childers, George and Joey Bates, Bill Smith, and Kenny Brimm.

Memorials are suggested to Steele's Chapel Christian Church where Arvin was a longtime member.

Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home is assisting the Peace family with arrangements.
