Aveinilla Roberts Hinton

Aveinilla Roberts Hinton, 55, of Aransas Pass, Texas and formerly of Gray, passed away Monday, May 1, 2006 in Aransas Pass.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Hinton; her daughter, Darlene Downum and son, Larry Downum; mother, Maggie Smith Roberts; sister, Opal Roberts; and six brothers, Chester, Lester, Codell, Glend, Shirl and Kenneth Roberts.
She is survived by sons, Tony Downum of Texas, Curtis and Timothy Downum of Michigan and Christopher Downum of Mississippi; her father, Andy Roberts of Gray; five brothers, Arthur, Harold and Johnny Roberts, all of Michigan, Jay Roberts of Stanford, Kentucky and David Roberts of Gray; seven sisters, Annamae Lewis, Peggy Engle, Susie Cornett, all of Gray, Geraldine Childers, Linda Thorpe and Carolyn Roberts, all of Michigan and Betty Davis of Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, May 7, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Dan Watkins and Rev. Johnny Farmer officiating. Burial will follow at the Gray Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 3:00 pm Sunday at the funeral Home.
