Barbara Sue Goforth, age 51, of Corbin KY, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at her home.
She was born on June 11, 1954 in Corbin, the daughter of the late Earl Hopkins and Benita Maxine Jackson Hopkins. She was a longtime waitress at the former Western Sizzlin in Corbin. She was of the Apostolic Faith and was attending the Potter's House Church in Corbin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three Brothers, Billy Dean, Earl Jr., and Charles Ray Hopkins; and one Sister, Jennifer Lynn Hopkins.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny Goforth; her two Daughters, Ginger Williamson and husband Tommy and Lori Sevier and husband Roger all of Corbin; Grandchildren, Brandon Tyree, Ryan Sevier, Peyton Sevier, Rachel Grimes, Tristan Sevier, Morgan Sevier, Tony Williamson, James Williamson and Kevin Williamson; One Great-Grandchild, Sidney; Her Step-Mother, Maggie Hopkins; Six Sisters, Floretta Gabbard, Marjorie Mills, Judy Gray, Phyllis Ann Crusenberry, Erma Parker, and Tammy Hammack; Four Brothers, Donald Wayne Roark, Rick Hopkins, Eugene Hopkins, and Billy Hammack. She is also survived by numerous Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends who will mourn her passing.
Funeral service will be on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at 1pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Alva Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopkins-Norvell Cemetery in Laurel County.
Visitation will be from 6-9pm on Monday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
