Benita Lynne Decker, age 55, of Corbin, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2008 at Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin.
She was born on September 20, 1952 in Harlan County and was a former Nurses Aid with Tri-County Hospice and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Corbin where she served as treasurer of the Women's Circle.
Benita was preceded in death by her Father, Hubert Hall; Brother, James Jimmy Hall; and by her Grandparents, Milton and Joanna Forester Hall and Perry and Mae Larkey.
She is survived by her Husband, Ron Decker; Children, Paula Webb and husband Greg and Scarlet Kirby and husband Stephen all of Corbin; Mother and Step-Father, Sylvia and Roy Hall of Corbin; three Grandchildren, Seth Kirby, Jonathon Helton, and Destiny Hickey; Sisters; Joanna Shepherd and husband Harry of Corbin; Norma Collins of Corbin; Vicki Roland and husband Danny of Owenton; Helen King and husband Robert "Bob" King of Corbin; Pam Babb and husband Roger of Charlotte, NC; Jane Seals and husband Fred of Corbin; and Melanie Burkhart and husband Matt of Corbin; Brothers, Roger Hall and wife Lisa of Corbin and Mike Hall of Harlan; Mother-in-law, Zelma Decker of Hamersville, OH; numerous Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends who will all mourn her passing.
Funeral service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Robert King and Rev. Chris Jasper officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery in Corbin.
Visitation will be from 6-9pm on Monday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
