Benny Terry Neal

Benny T. Neal, 52, of Corbin, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2008, at Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Born in Whitley County, he was the son of the late George Neal Jr. and the late Ruby Simpson Neal. In addition to his parents, Benny was preceded in death by four sisters, Nina Jean Neal, Beatrice Mae Neal, Carolyn Sue Neal and Brenda Ann Neal; and great-niece, Brenda Mae Young.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Shumate Neal of Corbin; son, Joey Neal and wife Cassie of Williamstown; grandson, Ben Neal of Williamstown; brothers, J.C. Neal and wife Wilma of London, Charles Neal and wife June of Lexington, and Darvin Neal of Corbin; sisters, Sandra Sheppard and husband Charles of Blanchester, Ohio, Gayle Walters and husband Jerry of Keavy; and Glenda Godsey of Corbin; mother-in-law, Phyllis Shumate of Corbin; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday, October 13, 2008, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Bro. Robert D. King and Bro. Roger Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery at Faber.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Sunday, Oct. 12, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
