Bertha Hensley Burke

Bertha Hensley Burke, 80, of Woodbine, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2005 at Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Born March 21, 1925, she was a homemaker and a member of the Park Hill Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sarah Elizabeth Blanton Hensley and her father Andrew McVey, her husband Otis H. Burke, her son Hobert H. Burke, and by two brothers George and Hobert "June" Hensley.
She is survived by four sons, Gene & Faye Burke, Jerry Lee Burke, Harold Burke, all of Woodbine, and Paul & Leigh Burke of Williamsburg; two daughters, Oneida & Wendell Peace of Mont Eagle, Tennessee and Barbara Sue & Jerry Willoughby of Huber Heights, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; friend Leon Day; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Roger Miller and Rev. Thurston Hensley officiating. Burial will be in the Perkins Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and Honorary Pallbearers will be granddaughters.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Tuesday, November 8 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
