Bertie Ellison Reeves Estes, 83, of Taylor Mill, Kentucky, formerly of Corbin, passed away Monday, June 20, 2005 at the St. Luke West Hospital in Florence, Kentucky.
Born August 6, 1921 in Corbin, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Nancy Brewer Ellison. She was a homemaker and Baptist by faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Jessie "Bunk" Reeves, her son James Dairl Reeves in 2003, and by two brothers, Leslie Ellison and Chet Ellison.
She is survived by her husband Herman Estes; sons, Ron Reeves (Linda) of Hebron, Ralph Reeves (Bea)of Hebron, Eddie Reeves (Terry) of Elsmere, and Wayne Reeves (Kaye)of Hebron, Louie Estes (Sandra) of Covington, and Gary Estes of Covington; daughters, Sharon White (John) of North Carolina and Sandy Estes of Covington; sisters ,Juanita Hatcher of Corbin, Geneva Tolliver of London, Merle Ridener of Corbin, and Jewel Jackson of Corbin; 33 Grandchildren and 55 Great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, June 24, 2005 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Monhollen Cemetery on Fifth Street Road in Corbin.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Thursday, June 23, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
