Betty Ruth Elliott, 70, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2006 at her residence in Woodbine.
Born June 26, 1935 in Whitley County, she was the daughter of the late William and Leota Morgan Harmon. She was a nurse for the old Corbin Hospital and most recently the office manager for the Hearing Aid Center in Corbin. She was a member of the Park Hill Pentecostal Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carl Elliott and by three sisters.
She is survived by five children, Carolyn Sue Reeves and husband Johnny of Corbin, Donna Hart and husband Bob of Mt. Sterling, Gary Wayne Elliott and wife Sherry of Woodbine, Larry Dale Elliott and wife Carla of Woodbine, and Deborah Goodin and husband Larry of Corbin; two brothers, Harold Harmon and Claude Harmon of Woodbine; three sisters, Shelby Elliott of Woodbine, Barbara Bird of Louisville, and Mabel Cox of Louisville; and nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday, March 27, 2006 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Thurston Hensley and Bro. Robert Harmon officiating.
Burial will be in the Carl and Betty Elliott Family Cemetery in Whitley County.
The family will receive friends from 5-9 pm Sunday, March 26, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
