Billy Paul Barnett

April 11, 1957 — July 4, 2022

Billy Paul Barnett, age 65 of Corbin, Ky and Marianna, Fl passed away peacefully at Laurel Heights Nursing Home on Monday, July 4, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Fred Sr. and Cora Brown Barnett and a brother, Fred Jr. Billy was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force and member of the Patriot Guard. Billy is survived by his sons: Ransom and Maxwell Barnett; sister, Mary Maxine (Roger) Hutton; niece, Rebecca (Keith) McCoy; nephew, Roger (Tiffani) Hutton; and great nephews: Braxton Hubbs, Joshua McCoy and Mason Hutton. Billy is also survived by a large extended family of cousins and friends whom he dearly loved. The Barnett Family would like to especially thank the VA Hospital in Lexington and all the Staff at Laurel Heights Nursing Home for the loving care given to Billy during his stay at their facility. Graveside service will be 6:15 p.m., Friday, July 8, 2022 at Rest Haven Cemetery with Rev. Billy Joe Kirby and Jerry Kirby officiating. Pallbearers will be Ranson Barnett, Maxwell Barnett, Braxton Hubbs, Josh McCoy, Mason Hutton, Richard (Hawk) Bowling, Chris Roberts, Jeremy Alcala and John Logan. The Family will receive friends Friday, July 8, 2022 from 4-6 p.m. at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Military Honors will be provided by The American Legion Post 88 of Corbin.
