Billy Ray Davis

Billy Ray Davis, age 51, of Woodbine, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2011, in Covington, Kentucky.
Born in Corbin, he was the son of the late James Petrey and Ailene Petrey who survives. He was an auto detailer for Falls Ford, was Baptist by faith, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Martha Cross.
He is survived by his mother, Ailene Petrey; two children, Amanda Raelene Ring and husband James of Covington and Billy Joseph Jones of Gray; two grandchildren, Amber and James Ring and one expectant grandchild; two brothers, Michael Petrey and wife Kim and Mark Petrey and wife Tammy, all of Corbin; two sisters, Martha Reeves of Woodbine and Mary Lou Hinkle and husband Vernon of Corbin; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who mourn his passing.
Visitation will be from 12 noon on Wednesday, April 13, until the time of the funeral at 2pm at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master Street, Corbin, KY. Rev. Earl Tye will officiate.
Burial will be in Smith Cemetery at Faber.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the funeral home.
