Brenda Sue Burkhart

Brenda Sue Burkhart, 62, of Lily, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016, at UK Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington.
Born in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Delmer Powell and Hazel Marie Hyden Powell. She was also preceded in death by her brother Wallace Powell.
Brenda is survived by two children: Michael Chad Burkhart of Harriman, Tennessee, and Kimberly Michelle Soriano of London; seven grandchildren; siblings: Delmas Powell of Corbin, Donald Joe Powell of Lily, Woodrow Powell of Lily, Ronnie Powell of Lily, Richard Powell of Corbin, Cathy Hillard of Lily, and Gary Powell of Lily; and by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, April 29, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Ball officiating.
Burial will be in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.
