Brenda Sue Wagner

Brenda Sue Wagner passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Christian Health Center in Corbin, Kentucky, living to be 76 Years of age. 

Born on January 10, 1949, in Bimble, KY. Brenda was a pillar of strength and a beacon of joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her. As a member of the Old Ark House of Prayer in Girdler, KY, she lived her faith daily, demonstrating the beauty of a life lived in service to others.

Brenda spent her career as an automaker with General Motors. Upon retirement, she spent time socializing with family and friends, which mattered most to her. Her personality made her a beloved figure in her family circle and her nursing home, where she was very active. Her laughter, her stories, and her spirit will be greatly missed. 

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Barnes; parents, Matt and Dottie Robinson Barnes; siblings, Preston, Glendale, and Virgil Hammons, and Damon Moore

She is survived by her sons, Dallas Barnes (Corina), of Mainville, Ohio; Brian Wagner (Amber), of Liberty Township, Ohio; siblings, Wilda Moore (Malcolm), of Hamilton, Ohio; Bill Hammons (Janie), of Hamilton, Ohio; James Hammons, of Lynchburg, Ohio; grandchildren, Trinity, Trevor, and Tristin Wagner, Mandy Barnes, Baylen Muddiman, Carter Gibson, Kyle Sams, and by many nieces and nephews. 

The family will host a celebration of life service at a later date.
