Bret Irvin Barnett

Bret Irvin Barnett, age 64, of Woodbine, KY, passed away on Friday June 24, 2022, at Baptist Health in Corbin, KY. He was born in Gary, Indiana, and was a retired truck driver. Bret loved his family and was a dedicated worker having missed only one day of work in over 30years driving. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and old cars and especially liked car shows. Bret was preceded in death by his father, William Barnett and by a brother, Tom Barnett. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Barnett, mother, Dorothy Johnson Barnett, four sons, Michael Barnett (Heather), Bret Barnett (Christi), Josh Barnett, and Nick Barnett, grandchildren, Jaylea, Julie, Joseph, Brittany, Bret, Brandy, Blake, Angel, and Cheyenne, brothers, Dave Barnett and Doug Barnett, sister, Gail Cook, and by many other family and friends. Visitation will be held from 1-3pm on Monday June 27, 2022, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where his funeral service will be held at 3pm.
