Burt Daniel Mason

Burt Mason, age 66, of Rockholds, passed away at Oak Tree Hospital in Corbin on Monday, June 27, 2011. Born in Woodbine, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Walker Mason and Georgia Harris Mason. He was Baptist by faith and had worked as a coal miner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bruce Lee Mason and Charles Ray Mason; and by his wife, Rozina Monhollen Mason. He is survived by his wife, Connie Mason; son, James Daniel Mason and wife Sandra; daughters, Lorana Osborne and husband Larry, Evelyn Smith and husband Michael, and Judy Lee and husband Phillip; grandchildren, Kanesha Mason, Cody and Chad Knuckles, Brandon Lee, Brittany and Cassie Baker, Holly Langford, Rosina and Devin Smith, Adam, Scott, Danielle and Tiffany Mason, and Crystal Mills; brothers, Jerry, Jim and Bill Mason; and sister, Jane Pickett, as well as numerous other family members and friends who mourn his passing. Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Thurday, June 30, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Logan officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery at Faber.
