Cansetta Jo Parks, age 68, of Gray, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Corbin Health and Rehabilitation.
Born in Knox County, she was the daughter of the late Elbert Thomas Baker and Nellie Brown Baker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Lee and Charles Baker, and sister Melbaleen Bruce.
She was a homemaker and had been a Notary Public for many years.
She is survived by her husband Dewey Parks; daughter, Jaime Messer and husband Derrick; sons, Billy Parks and Theresa Alsip, and Dewey Parks Jr.; grandchildren: Gage Roark, Tritt Parks, Jesse Parks, Nick Parks, Monica Smith, Jakob Parks, and Iley Parks; great-grandchild, Gabriel Roark; brothers: Doc Baker and wife Juanita, Paul Baker and wife Ethel, and Harold Baker and wife Rhonda; and numerous other family and friends.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 9th, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Cook and Rev. R.P. Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the Parks Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Saturday, June 8th, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
