Carl Lee Sturgill

Carl Lee Sturgill, 90, of Virginia Beach and formerly of Corbin, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2005 at the Bayside Hospital in Virginia Beach.
Born October 29, 1914 in Corbin, he was the son of the late Samuel and Susie Bolton Sturgill. He was a crane operator for General Electric and was a lifelong member of the Lynn Camp Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Rozetta Sturgill; two Sisters, Della Sturgill and Katie Mae Kelly;and two Brothers Willie and Raymond Sturgill.
He is survived by his daughter Carlene Gischel of Virginia Beach, Virginia; one Sister, Delvie Hensley & husband Harold of Corbin; two Grandchildren, Erika Mitchell & husband Trey of Lovingston, Virginia and Amanda Harrison & husband Sean of Suffolk, Virginia; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005 at the Lynn Camp Baptist Church with Rev. Carl McCray and Rev. Johnny Jervis officiating.
Burial will follow in the Lynn Camp Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Lynn Camp Church from 1:00-2:30 pm Saturday.
All arrangements are by the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
