Carl Wayne Mcdaniel

Carl Wayne McDaniel, age 72, of Richmond, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday January 12, 2022, in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born in Gray, Kentucky, a son to the late Luster McDaniel and Mary Mabe McDaniel. Carl was a US Marine Veteran having served 3 tours in Vietnam. He was Baptist by faith and had retired from Pepsi-Cola in Corbin. He was member of the Marine Corp League Detachment #1012 in Richmond. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his brother, William "Bill" McDaniel, sisters, Gladys McDaniel, Joyce Booth, Janice Rose Miller, Sandra Ramey, and Inis Faye Reynolds. He is survived by his wife, Judy Moberly McDaniel, son, Carl Wayne McDaniel II, daughter, Nikki McDaniel Azbill (Brandon), stepsons, Ben Gullett (Katrina), Kevin Gullett (Shonna), and Derrick Gullett (Jennifer), brother, Herman McDaniel (Jennifer), grandchildren, Conner and Cara McDaniel, and by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends, including his adorable pets, Molly, Josie, Lillie, and Dillon. Visitation will be from 11am to 2pm on Tuesday January 18, 2022, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where his funeral service will be held at 2pm with Rev. Sam Moore officiating. Cemetery service will be held at 12:30pm on Wednesday January 19, 2022, at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery with military honors by the Marine Corp Detachment #1012 of Richmond, KY.
