Carol Thomas Medlin

Carol Thomas Medlin, age 86, of Corbin, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022, at Baptist Health Corbin.

Born in Blountville, TN, she was a daughter of the late A.C. Thomas and Mary VanHook Thomas. Carol worked a long career as a registered nurse and retired from Baptist Health Corbin. Following her retirement, she volunteered at AA Women’s Services. Carol was a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church. She was a gifted seamstress and enjoyed providing that gift to others. Her most cherished role was to be a homemaker. Carol loved her family unconditionally and she would go to any length to provide for them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wayne T. Medlin, and three brothers, Dale Thomas, Charles Thomas, and Kenneth Thomas.

She is survived by two sons, Lynn Medlin (Rhonda) and Roger Medlin (Beverly), grandchildren, Lauren and Jacob Medlin, and Hannah, Rachel, and Sarah Medlin, a sister-in-law, Verlajean Thomas-Franke, and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 12-2pm on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, where her funeral service will follow at 2pm with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.

Burial will follow at Gray Cemetery, in Gray, KY.
