Carolyn Sue Hill

Carolyn Sue Hill, age 80, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Friday October 6, 2023, at her home.

She was born in Nitro, West Virginia, a daughter to the late Clarence Hedrick and Hilda Wagner Hedrick. Carolyn was a member of Sojourn Baptist Church. She enjoyed baking for her family and many friends. She loved pleasing others and always brought joy to any gathering.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Nelson, grandson, Travis Jeffries, her children's father, Hershell Hill, and by her siblings, Robert Hedrick, Jimmy Hedrick, Judson Hedrick, Billy Hedrick, Tommy Hedrick, Linda McFarland, and Peggy Steele.

She is survived by her daughters, Lorie Dixon (Randy), Kimberly Jeffries, and Tammy Bargo (Tim), grandchildren, Benea Breeding, Amerah Rutherford (Zack), Kindra Martin, Dylan Adams (Sydney), Jami Cole, Ashley Cole, Shawn Collette, Brandon Collette, Brittany Petty (Austin), and Justin Bargo, 19 great grandchildren, brother Clarence Hedrick Jr, sister, Shirley Dailey, and by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Sunday October 8, 2023, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will be held at 7pm with Rev. Sam Moore and Rev. Herschel Walker officiating.

Burial will be private in Rest Haven Cemetery in Corbin, KY.
