Carrie Sasser Goins

Carrie Sasser Goins, age 82, of Corbin peacefully passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2012, at Oak Tree Hospital in Corbin following a brief illness.
She and her husband Bobby, were proprietors of the former Goins Market and Goins Party for Less in Corbin. Later she retired from Belk's. Carrie was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Corbin, and will be fondly remembered by family and friends as an avid University of Kentucky sports fan, loving mother, and generous friend.
Carrie was preceded in death by her Husband, Robert "Bobby" Goins; Parents, J.B. and Katherine Sasser; Brother, Earl Sasser, and Sister, Faye Tankersley.
She is survived by her three Children, Scott Goins of Lithonia, GA; Kathy Goins and John Goins both of Corbin; Sister, Lois Jones of Corbin; Brother, Glenn Sasser (Frankie) of Corbin; and several devoted Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation for Carrie Sasser Goins will be held on Wednesday October 3, 2012 from 2pm until the time of her funeral service at 4pm at First Baptist Church in Corbin, with Rev. Jim Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Corbin.
Arrangements by the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home in Corbin, Eric Grisell and Jim David Thomas directors.
