Charles Donnie Durham Sr.

Charles Donnie Durham Sr., age 77, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Friday January 19, 2024, at the home of his daughter where he was surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Corbin, he was a retired boat mechanic from Farris Marine in Corbin. Charles was best known for his love of cars, especially his Corvette. He was very active with Cumberland Cruise In and it was with great joy that he was well enough to attend his last cruise in last year.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Danna Sue McVey Durham in 2021; parents, John L. Durham and Mary Marino Durham Cobb; siblings, David Durham, Larry Durham, and Lisa Durham Dugger; and by his nieces, Melissa Moreland and Erika Durham Lunsford.

Charles is survived by his children, Lee DeGarmo (Nova), Susanne Michelle Durham Griffin (Brent), and Charles Donnie Durham Jr., and the mother of his children Tracy Jones; sister, Sandra Moreland (John); brothers, Joseph Durham (Carol) and Gary Durham; thirteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and by several nieces, nephews, family, and by many friends.

Visitation for Charles will be from 12-2pm on Wednesday January 24, 2024, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where his funeral service will be held at 2pm with Rev. Mark McVey and Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.
