Charles K. Maxey, age 79, of Corbin, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Corbin Health and Rehabilitation.
He was a Minister, and was the owner and operator of C K Maxey Painting in Corbin.
Charles was preceded in death by his Parents, Dan Maxey and Lily Hodge Maxey; Brothers, Raymond Maxey and Dan Maxey Jr., and by a Sister, Ethel Smith.
He is survived by his Wife, Josie Baker Maxey; Son, Charles R. "Charlie" Maxey and wife Melissa of Barbourville; five Grandchildren, Candice Privett and husband Anthony of Corbin; Lyndsay Floyd and husband David of Lily; Allison Maxey of Corbin; Charles Daniel Maxey and Katelyn Maxey all of London; four Great Grandchildren, Bailey Miles, Aiden Miles, Kylie Privett, and Trenton Floyd; Sisters, Rosa Smith and husband Earl of London, and Geneva Williams and husband Jim of Tampa, FL; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, including Dear Friend, Joann Parrott.
Funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Coffee officiating. Burial will follow.
Visitation will be from 6-9pm on Tuesday Feb. 25th at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home where messages may be written to the family at www.vankirkgrisellfuneralhome.com
