Charles Leonard Barton

Charles L. Barton, age 34, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at his residence in Corbin.
Charles had worked at S.E.K.R.I. in Corbin. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, racing his wheelchair, and listening to music.
Charles was preceded in death by his grandparents: Bessie and Elmer Barton, and Virgil Sullivan; and sister, Emily Dean Carr.
He is survived by his father, Jeffrey Barton; mother, Frankie Carolyn Carr; biological mother, Vernie Barton; grandmothers, Mary Shorter and Lillie Mae Jones; sisters, Jessica Carr and Tasha Carr; brothers, Larkin Sullivan, Nathan Tanner, and Jason Carr; special cousin, James Barton; special friend, Heather Cooper; numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Funeral service will be at 2pm on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Brafford Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm on Tuesday, Feb. 4, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
