Clarence Slusher, 81, of Corbin, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Born July 31, 1924 in Wallins Creek, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Clarence Slusher and Grace Hensley Slusher. He was Pentecostal by faith and was a retired worker for Lynn Camp High School.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Slusher; one sister, Judy Marsh; and three brothers, Sam, Jack and Bob Slusher.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Hodge of Corbin; his son, Alton Slusher of Gray; five grandchildren, Guy Hodge, Derek Hodge, Angela Hodge, Tony Martin and Dusty Martin; seven great-grandchildren, Jordan Hodge, Zachary Hodge, Isaiah Hodge, Dillion Terry, Dalton Terry, Summer Hodge and Autumn Hodge; three sisters, Myrtle Prewitt, Anita Schubert, and Nancy Hill; and special friend, Bro. Wayne Stephenson.
Funeral services will be at 11 am Saturday, July 29, 2006 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday, July 28, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
