Claude Brown, 82, of London, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2006 at Corbin Nursing Home.
Born October 23, 1923 in Bell County, he was the son of the late Bill and Ora Brown. He worked for General Motors in paint and auto body repair. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in WWII and was a member of Park Hill Pentecostal Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Virginia Brown; four sons, Claude Brown Jr., twin sons Ronnie and Johnny Brown, and Donald Brown.
He is survived by ten children, Margie Martin of Cookeville, Tennessee, Ralph Brown of Indiana, Willie Brown of Michigan, Anna Swanson of Corbin, Brenda Baker of Tennessee, Darrell Brown of Michigan, Bobby Brown of Corbin, Christine Rohde of Minnesota, and Danny Brown of London; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brothers, Elmer Brown of London and Raymond Brown of Michigan.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at the Old Path Holiness Church with Rev. Hank Bowman and Rev. Freeman Clark officiating. Burial will be in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Tuesday, August 8, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
