Clay C. Pattisson

Clay C. Pattisson, age 69, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Baptist Health in Corbin, Kentucky.


He was born in Clay County, KY, a son of the late John Pattisson and Sylvia Foxx Thompson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, John David Pattisson and by a niece, Hailee R. Martin.


Clay is survived by his siblings, Kathy Swafford, Gay Smith, Sanna Martin, Russell Pattisson (Teresa), and Juss Pattisson (Pamela), children, John Tucker, Cindy Tucker, Kendra Glasscock, and Tonya Dailey, and by a host of special nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.


Visitation will be from 12noon until 2pm on Saturday September 9, 2023, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where his funeral service will be held at 2pm. Burial will follow in the Foxx Cemetery in Knox County. Pall bearers will be Angelo Arcure, Andrew Arcure, Glen Martin, Todd Martin, Anthony Wagers, Ronald Swafford, Christopher Pattisson, and Eric Willoughby. Honorary pall bearers will be Daniel Mortimer, Topher Pattisson, Brayden Pattisson, Stephen Smith, Michael Smith, Andren Arcure, Gunnar Swafford, Race Wagers, Gavin Martin, Rowdy Wagers, Derek Martin, Daryl Moran, Cameron Martin, A.J. Arcure, Hunter Swafford, and Jace Caudill.
