Clifford "Darrell" Tolliver

Clifford "Darrell" Tolliver, age 56, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Baptist Health in Corbin, KY.

Born in Harlan County Kentucky, Darrell raised multiple children and adopted many others as if they were his own. He drove for T & H Towing for a little over three years until he was unable to continue driving. He then returned to mechanic work at Gilbert Tire. Darrell also worked at Don Franklin in Tennessee for 13 years, and he even worked as a coal miner in his younger years. Darrell had a love for cars and music like no other and was very gifted and talented in everything he did. Anyone who knew him considered him a "jack of all trades" because there wasn't much the man couldn't do. He was liked and loved by everyone who knew him. Hands down he was a great man.

Darrell leaves behind his loving and caring wife, Sonya Tolliver; children, Brittany and Ethan Lawrence of Texas, Timothy Tolliver of Tennessee, Amber Swanson of Corbin, Shea and Daniel Burchfield of London, Tony and Brooke Swanson of Corbin, Brianna Setser of Corbin, Brooklyn Allen of London, Kylee Dean of Evarts, KY, and Kayla and Steven Patterson of Somerset; grandchildren, better known as, "Papaw's Babies," Elijah Swanson, Zander and Easton Lawrence, Rhema and Levi Burchfield, Jr Ipock, Noah and Kaden Patterson, and Zoey and Jaynee Rollins, aka "sticky fingers," which was a nickname given by her papaw. He is also survived by his father, Clifford Tolliver Sr. of Evarts; siblings, Wayne Tolliver of Evarts, KY, Linda Dean of Evarts, KY, and Patricia Storms of Corbin; aunts and uncles, Shirley Allen and Mike Estep of Lily, Vaughn and Jerry Polly of Bell County, and Jody Lamb of Glasgow, KY;

He was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene Canterbury; uncles, Ray, Cotton, and Cecil Lamb; aunt, Marie Lamb, and by one grandchild, Grayson Swanson.

Visitation for Darrell Tolliver will be from 12noon until 2 pm on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. His funeral service will then be held at 2 pm on Thursday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, with Rev. Junior Baker and Rev. Dave Silberg officiating.

Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery after his casket is taken to the cemetery by T & H Towing.
