Clyde Hickey, 83, of Lily, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2007 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Clyde was a member of the Park Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church, had been self-employed as a carpet installer, and was a U.S. Army veteran having served his country in WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Sarah Brown Hickey; his wife, Freda Pauline Hickey; two brothers, Creyton Hickey and Clifford Hickey; and two sisters, Lorene Hickey and Irene Walker.
He is survived by his son Wayne Hickey and wife Renee of Lily; three grandchildren, Barry Hickey and wife Joyce of East Bernstadt, and Jamey Hickey and Joey Hickey of Corbin; two brothers, Thomas Clinton Hickey of Corbin and Verlin Hickey of Ohio; four great-grandchildren, Jamey Dewayne Hickey, Jessica Hickey, Jordan Hickey and Jacob Overbay.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm Thursday, April 19, 2007 at the Park Hill Pentecostal Church with Rev. Thurston Hensley officiating. Burial will be in the Rest Haven Cemetery with military graveside rites by VFW Post 1410.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
