Connie L. Eagle

Connie L. Eagle, age 68, of Gray, KY, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at St. Joseph London. 

A compassionate soul, Connie was a beacon of supportive love and unwavering generosity in the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. Her fervor for gardening was unparalleled, and she found immense joy amidst the flowers and trees she so lovingly nurtured. Just like a dedicated gardener, Connie cultivated relationships with an equally tender touch, she was a devoted wife and mother, offering a comforting presence and a listening ear whenever needed. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Denzel Parker Hughes and Lodie Irene Hughes;  son, Wesley Eagle; brothers, Larry Lee Hughes and Denzel Paul Hughes, Jr; and sister, Cindy Hughes. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Breckey Eagle; children, Sherrie Renee Sasser (Greg), Breckey Carl Eagle, Jr. (Michelle), and Matilda House (Kevin); grandchildren, Seth Eagle, Topanga Ralph, Kelsey House Fox (Dylan), Kevin Ryan House (Lakyn), Samuel Braxton House, Cody Eagle (Maddie), Cassidy Eagle (Isaiah), Joshua Sasser (Kara), and Emileigh Sasser (Coleman); great-grandchildren, Greyson Sturgill, Owen Fox, Raelynn Tallent, and Colter Joshua Sasser; and sisters, Mary Farris, Ada Wasierski, and Elizabeth Blanton. 

Visitation will be held from 6-9 pm on Sunday, February 23, 2025, and from 1-2 pm on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2 pm on Monday with Rev. Stevie Hughes and Rev. Wayne House officiating. 

Burial will follow in Brafford Cemetery in Gray, KY.  

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Joshua Sasser, Cody Eagle, Ryan House, Braxton House, Seth Eagle, and Isaiah Colwell.
