Constance Humphrey

Constance (Connie) Louise Humphrey, age 72, of Corbin, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2011, at Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin.
Connie was born to Mary Winona Thompson Black and Raymond Wharton on January 6, 1939, in Ohio County, Wheeling, West Virginia. Methodist by faith, she was saved and baptized in the Methodist Church in Wheeling, West Virginia and she later joined Harts Chapel in Corbin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald R. Black.
She is survived by one daughter, Brenda K. Lee and husband Johnny of Corbin; two sons, Michael R. Roberts and wife Carolyn of Corbin and Gregory L. Roberts and wife April of Gray; sister, Winona Humphrey of Corbin; brother, George H. Black and wife Joyce of Detroit, Michigan; a very special cousin, Carolyn Weeks of Wheeling, West Virginia; a special aunt, Ruth Runyon of Detroit; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of other friends who mourn her passing.
Visitation will be from 5pm Wednesday, October 26, until the funeral at 8pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Johnson and Rev. Johnny Farmer officiating. Burial will be later at the convenience of the family.
