Cordia Tye, age 93, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 17, 2011.
She was a member of Candleridge Baptist Church in Gray and was retired from the Times Tribune in Corbin.
Cordia was preceded in death by her Husband, Jesse W. Tye; Parents, Rev. E.L. Wilson and Lula Josephine Ball Wilson; two Children, Eva Sue Harp and Anita Logan and her husband Willie V; Daughter-in-law, Wanda Faye Tye; Great-Granddaughter, Heather Renee Forsyth; Granddaughter-in-law, Regina Roaden Tye; three Sisters, Annie Wilson, Mary Betty Paul, ad Jane Paydon; five Brothers, L.D., Sidney, Ike, William, and Lee Wilson.
She is survived by her three Daughters, Betty Steely and husband Bob, Barbara Brock and husband Alvin, and Brenda Arnold and husband Eddie; four Sons, Rev. Earl S. Tye, Paul Tye and wife Diana, Elza Tye and wife Edna,  and Kenneth "Bo" Tye and wife Teena; 29 Grandchildren; 45 Great Grandchildren; five Great Great Grandchildren; Brothers, Preston and L.B. Wilson; and by a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday, February 21, 2011, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerry Setser officiating. Burial will follow in the Hart Cemetery on Meadowcreek with her grandsons serving as pall bearers.
Visitation will be from 6-9pm on Sunday, February 20th, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
