Curtis L. "Butch" Johnson Jr., age 44, of Corbin, passed away on Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
Born in Kansas City, Kansas, he was the son of the late Curtis L. Johnson of Corbin and Sharon Neely of Kansas City. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.
He is survived by his step-mother, Marilyn "Sam" Johnson; children, Duane, Amanda, Jeffrey, Chrisy, Christopher, C.J. and Jordan; grandsons, Landon, Colton, and Jacob; sisters, Debbie Nystrom and husband Carl, Kathy Beasley and husband Mark, Johna Licht and husband Rick, Pam Palermo and husband Don, Laura Lutz and husband Greg, and Mary Harris and husband Tom; special friends D.C."Butch" Helton and Lyn Ledington; and several nieces and nephews, all who mourn his passing.
Visitation will be held from 6pm Saturday, Sept. 26, until the hour of the funeral at 7pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.
A private graveside service for the family will be held on Sunday at Pine Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home to help cover the expense of the funeral.
