Dallas Reed Helton, age 75, of Gray, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 18, 2011, at Oak Tree Hospital in Corbin.
He was a 1954 graduate of Lynn Camp High School and worked at National Standard for 36 years. What he enjoyed most was working on his farm. He was a devoted and loving Husband, and a wonderful Father and Grandfather. He was a true friend to those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, John and Virginia Helton; and by nine Sisters, Nancy White, Clara Fore, Ethel Cobb, Lorie Davenport, Elva Profitt, Ada Keck, Edith Mae Helton, Opal Young, and Pauline Profitt; two Brothers, Larry and Herman Helton
He is survived by his Wife of 55years, Roberta Faye Helton; Children, Donnie Helton and wife Ruth, Bruce Helton and wife Pamela, and Donna Helton; four Grandchildren; six Great Grandchildren and by many family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Merida officiating.
Burial will follow in the Sexton Cemetery at Gray. Matt Bargo, Vernon Mills, Frank Smith, Daniel Farmer, Don Mills, and Ronnie Profitt will serve as Pall Bearers with Honorary pall bearers being his former co-workers from National Standard.
Visitation will be from 5-9pm on Monday, February 21st, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
