Darlene Canterbury

Darlene Canterbury, age 71, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Barbourville Health and Rehabilitation.

Born in Harlan, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Roy Lamb and Thelma Hobbs Kilburn.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Canterbury, brothers, Cecil Lamb and Louis Lamb, and by her sister, Elizabeth Marie Lamb.

Darlene is survived by her children, Darrell Tolliver (Sonya), Darlene Melinda Dean, Ray Dewayne Tolliver, and Patricia Storms, grandchildren, Jonathan Dean, Denny Ray Dean, Brittany Tolliver, Timothy Tolliver, Amber Swanson, Tony Swanson, and Shana Burchfield, siblings, Shirley Allen, Jody Lamb, Lavonne Polly (Jerry), and Ray Lamb, brother-in-law, Michael Estep, and by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation will be from 6-8pm on Tuesday November 14, 2023, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday November 15, 2023, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, with Rev. Junior Baker officiating.  A graveside service will be held at 3:30pm on Wednesday November 15th at the Tackett Hill Cemetery in Bell County, KY.  Serving as pall bearers will be Mike Estep, Timothy Tolliver, Tony Swanson, Chris Estep, Roger Estep, and Kris Shinevarre
